PopularTweets displays the top 10 Tweets and ReTweets that are popular grouped by the hour, week, month and year!

You can find a list of the top 10 tweets pertaining to a hashtag. Similarly, for retweets you can view the top 10 @username’s that are popular on twitter. This can even help you in following interesting twitter users.

Top twitter users with regards to the number of followers can also be found, however, we found the data to be a little outdated.

This site was developed from a combination of my interest in web development and my interest in Twitter. Being a Twitter user myself, I realized that there was a lack of information regarding the community at large that I wanted. I began to research about the various applications that had already been developed for Twitter. This lead me to realize that the wonderful people at Twitter created free data streams to anyone wanting to access it!
