Haven’t you been curious anytime to know what topics are currently trending in your city? Don’t you want to know what your neighbours are talking about?

Happn.in brings to you the latest trending topics in your area. The site currently has some of the worlds top cities on it’s radar. Tweets originating all around these cities are crawled and the most used keywords are set as the trending topics for that city.

The site has a separate twitter account for each of the listed cities. Feel free to follow the account belonging to your city so that you are aware of whats happening around you (I just realized my team lost a game! Very Helpful, indeed!)

The apps are all falling into place for local twitter. You first go and list yourself in one of the local twitter directories such as LocalTweeps or Loaded Web. You then find twitter users around you with NearbyTweets or TweetMondo. And, when you want to search for tweets or twitter users related to a city, you go to ChirpCity or TwitSeeker!
